It's a beautiful day hear in sunny Melton Mowbray. The birds are singing, there's a perfect blue sky just perfect really. Can't help thinking that life is so good. I have Just dug the first potatoes out of my allottment last Friday and that was fabulous. The first time I have grown me own tatties, boy is it worth it. How lucky I am to have my allottment, when I put my name down, I was immediately given my own patch and started the process of tilling the soil and preparing for the great planting of 2009 and it has been great. Now I hear allottments are much coveted. Thank you God for mine.
Of course all of this has absolutely nothing to do with Wedding Dresses. Life can't always be about business or making money. Some time has to be given over to pure bliss and happiness. I have that a'plenty in my life. Great family, great friends, luckily great neighbours too. In fact, I think where I live is so friendly when I walk out into the street it's like walking into another room full of lovely souls all wishing each other well and generally passing moments of joy with each other. There is not a day goes by that doesn't include someone knocking on my door to give me some plums, or apples. I have both in my kitchen as I write this, reminds me that abundance in life comes in many different ways. I will think on this when I make an apple cake today. Because that too will be shared with a friend and my family and there may even be some left over to share with a neighbour. Which reminds me that I promised two colleagues yesterday some tatties from the allottment, just so they could taste what I am trying to describe to them. So I had better get my skates on and get them dug. Yes, I am afraid I may have become rather besotted with this self sufficiency malarchy.
I wish you all a very succesful, prosperous, peaceful easy day.
